Trains travel on electric power from London to Cardiff for the first time

Network Rail has finished work on upgrading the Severn Tunnel, and now passengers can travel on a fully electric railway from Cardiff and Newport, through the Severn Tunnel and onwards to Bristol and Swindon, the Thames Valley and London Paddington.
